  1. Remove both front screws. Remove both front screws.

  2. Remove both left hand side screws. Remove both left hand side screws.

    • Remove both left hand side screws.

  3. The hotend cover is now loose. Move it down to release and remove.

  4. Disconnect the power and data cable from the stepper motor.

  5. Loosen or remove the screw form the front right hand side. Loosen or remove the screw form the front left hand side.

  6. Remove the Bowden Tube from the extruder and put it aside.

    • Remove the Bowden Tube from the extruder and put it aside.

  8. Grab both stepper motor and extruder assembly. Lift them up vertically.

    • Grab both stepper motor and extruder assembly.

    • Lift them up vertically.

    • The vertical movement has to take into account some care regarding the PEEK guide tube.

    • You finished Part I/III, with the full removal of the Intamsys extruder.

  9. Mind there is a hole in the bottom of the extruder. When placing the BMG-HT align the hole with the PEEK guide. Lower the BMG-A vertically

  10. Insert the original screw in the left hand side hole Insert the original screw in the right hand side hole Tighten both screws firmly.

    • Tighten both screws firmly.

  11. Route the BMG cable and connector to face the left hand side of the print head. Plug it in in the proper socket. Verify you are using the right hand side socket.

  12. Move the cover into place Adjust the fit and tuck it in. Adjust the fit and tuck it in.

  15. Insert the Bowden Tube back in the extruder.

    • You finished Part II/III, with the Hardware installation of the BMG-HT feeder.

    • Stepper motor must run below 1A. We recommended to set current to 0.7A.

    • Different Funmat-HT versions come from factory with different stepper driver setups. Be sure your machine is running the extruder stepper motor at 0.7A by checking the driver DIP switches configuration. In case you don’t know how to perform this check, please contact our Customer Support. Thank you.

    • Next, some adjustments to the firmware have to be done. Follow up the "BMG-HT Feeder For Funmat HT - Firmware installation" guide to complete the setup of your new Bondtech Extruder.
