This guide is provided to assist you installing PuTTY in your Windows computer.
Scope of Application
Applies to the following Apps:
- Ultimaker 3 DDG Updater
- Ultimaker 3 QR Updater
Applies to the following Operative System:
- Windows
Applies to the following Bondtech products:
- DDG Extruder
- QR Extruder
Applies to the following 3D printer:
- Ultimaker 3
NOTE: Do not attempt to perform this procedure using any other Operative System.
Scope of Intervention
PuTTY is a free and open-source terminal emulator, serial console and network file transfer
application. It supports several network protocols, including SCP, SSH, Telnet, rlogin, and
raw socket connection. It can also connect to a serial port.
This software is required to be installed in your computer so our automatic Firmware
updater apps can connect to the Ultimaker 3 and perform the update.

In the package files group, click the link for the version that best suits your Windows System:

• 32-bit putty-0.70-installer.msi
-
• 64-bit putty-64bit-0.70-installer.msi

Save the file in your computer

Run the file after finishing download.

Click Next

Accept or adjust the installation folder

click Next

Click Install to proceed

A warning message will ask for an authorization for the installation application to make changes in your computer.

Click Yes so the installation can proceed.

After finishing installation PuTTY will show you the final screen.

Check the tick box if you want to view the README file...

...or keep it unchecked if you don't need to view it.

Click Finish to close the dialog window.
